Woo hoo shoes!

So I was a little jealous that Jess got her new shoes already. And I can barely walk today because my shoes SUCK! So Jess and i went to Running Souls and got me some new shoes! Great store, by the way. He watched you walk, has you try on a bunch of shoes, and you end up buying shoe based only on feel, not by what they look like. Which is COMPLETELY different than what I am used to! I am sooo excited to try them out. On Thursday we are going to the mall to test them out! Another great thing, if they don't work, I can bring them back! Wow! Not a normal thing for a shoe store! Woo hoo shoes!

Oh a game!!!

So, I was reading over at Clever Girl Goes Blog and she was given a letter to begin 10 things she loves! I thought it would be fun! So I commented and she gave me the letter "H". Ok, now it is hard. But, I figure I should do a blog about posting things I love with Valentines day right around the corner! Here is my effort, forgive me...

1. Husband. Ok, that one WAS easy. I don't know where I would be without him!

2. Honeys. My kids. I HAD to put them on here and they are my little honeys, so there. I don't think I need to explain why they are on here.

3. Home. Like Dorothy says, "There is no place like home." So true. Although I love to travel the best feeling is when you come home and sleep in your own bed, cuddle up on your own couch... ahhhhh...

4. Hanukkah- well, I am not Jewish, nor do I celebrate this holiday. BUT if it is Hanukkah, then it is Christmas time. And I love Christmas, it just doesn't start with "H". Yeah, it's a stretch. But who's going to do something about it? The blog police? That's what I thought... although I suppose I could have done holidays...oh well.

5. Hotmail. Again, I don't know where I would be without my email! I live 2 hours from where I grew up, which means I live 2 hours from family and friends. I email a lot of pictures of the kids, and well, random crap. I can't afford a huge phone bill, and email is free.

6. Hoodies. I totally love hoody sweatshirts. So cozy. I need to order one with the 3 day logo... maybe later!

7. Heaters. I hate being cold. Which is why our gas bill for last month was disgusting. I love heat (summer, etc...) therefore I love heaters. Lame, but true.

8. Hamburgers, ok. Before you think I am just typing random words that start with "H" remember that I am on a diet and hamburgers are untouchable at the moment. So yes, I love them.

9. Handheld devices. My ipod in particular. I love it. It goes everywhere I go. I listen to it at home, in my car, and on my walks. I even bought a special dock so I could listen to it at work. I love music! Ask anyone who has received a mixed CD from me! I take it very seriously! In other words, I am a bit of a nerd.

10. Heroes. NOT Superman. You know, fire fighters, police officers, and MY FRIENDS! Yes, my friends are heroes! They are MY heroes, they have great listening skills, are great to laugh with (and at, heh.) and great shopping skills! They are also great mommies. And I totally look up to that!

So that was it! I'll give you a letter if you want one!

We are asking for your support as well in this great adventure we are taking on. We have a website set up that you can go view our goals, progress, and help contribute. We are also accepting checks that will be put towards the cause. Every penny helps. We are hoping to raise $4600 so we are able to participate in the walk. Whether, we make the full amount or not, all proceeds will go toward the Susan G. Komen Foundation!

Haircuts and Superheroes

Before
Clara had her first (much needed) haircut today! She was moving her bangs and saying "peek-a-boo".

Seriously.
We went to Monkey Dooz in Richland (on Aaron for those of you who want to go!) and that place was great! They have little plastic jeeps that the kids can sit in and watch a movie. It was painted soooo cute too! They have a special make over section that they can have parties for little girls and do a mani-pedi, their hair, have "tea", make-up, dress up, you name it. Flipping cute. So, the place was adorable, and BONUS, Clara did perfect! She didn't cry, didn't fuss, and really could care less that a strange lady was coming at her with scissors. Things could not have gone any smoother. It was fantastic! I was soooo proud of her! And it was great because Connor went and did well just sitting there!

after

Today I am also redoing Connor's room. Kinda. When we first moved in this house Connor was 2 1/2. I did his room in a jungle theme. It was super cute, but now he is 5 1/2 and jungle animals aren't "cool". Well, back when we moved in we went to Ikea (what was that? Angels singing?) and bought some great huge picture frames for a reasonable price (they were $15 and now they are $20 which is still a GREAT deal!) Well, I didn't like any of the pictures that they were selling and thought I will go somewhere else to buy some. I couldn't find ANY to fill the bigger space in the frame, that was also SQUARE!. I was ticked. BUT I came up with buying a calendar and using those pictures! It worked perfectly! So I recently ordered a NEW superhero calendar and changed out all of the animal pictures with superheroes. Connor was SO excited! And it looks GREAT! So I redecorated Connor's room for $13! Sounds great to me! The frames are big enough to make an impact on his room! Sweet! So if you are ever in Ikea, I highly suggest going over to the frame department and picking up a few of these!

New...

So I thought my blog needed to be more springy! What do you all think?
